Extra credit : Famous Last words.

So we have come to the end of week eleven. So I have posted my third story for my story book. And I think it is safe to say that I think it is progressing very well. I also think that this is going to be last story I will be posting. I think that It has really been an interesting journey collectively. As I couldn’t decide whether or not I wanted to do a reading portfolio or a story book. But I am glad that I went with the story book. It gave me the chance to get in touch with my imagination. I also think that as a class, we all have done some growing in our writing as each week, the writing produced by this group just gets better and better. I am glad that week eleven is over with and it not long before this class is over with. Overall I think this class is getting more and more challenging but in a good way. I think as each week past the demand for creativity is increasing.

The rest of my school semester as also very interesting. I think that as we come closer to the end the intensity of the work also increases. I am doing very well in my other classes also. My math professor doesn’t know the meaning of a break as week after week we are bombarded with a quiz so at any given point can I afford to fall off the wagon. I have already had a chemistry exam which I did pretty well in. This week at school has really been busy and I am so glad we have this long weekend. As for life, life is good. Every day we wake up is a blessing. Eleven down, four to go. Or for some of us one more week to go.

Week 10 Extra credit - Famous Last words.

This week has been a very hectic week at school. I have had back to back examinations, and assignments to do. My wife and I usually have very busy schedules. Both work and school related. I just can’t wait for the day that I graduate and actually start pursuing my career. Even though I am now as well.
I work two jobs, one as a math tutor and the other as a salesmen. Balancing that along with school is hard work. But with the support of my wife I feel like I can do anything.
Besides school, my wife and I are both looking forward to our December vacation. I will be visiting Seattle. I cannot wait to spend time with my family like the good old days. It has been a year since I went back home. My schedule has not allowed me to do. My wife on the other had will be visiting her family in London. She is super excited.
Last night we went to go watch “Gone girl”, at the AMC Theater in Pennsqaure mall. My oh my, that was one hell of a movie. I think that it was by far one of the best movies I have seen so far. And trust me I have seen my fair share of those. I recommend that everyone should go watch it if given the chance to.

In terms of this class, I feel like it is getting more and more hectic. I have published my third story so far. I really am enjoying this class. But I feel like it requires a lot of time and thought. Then again so does every other class. I just can’t wait to be done with this semester. It feels like such a long and hectic semester, and I am sure everyone else can also relate.

week three: famous last words

Famous last words for this week: Well… I feel like this semester is going by real quick. I cannot believe that we are already on week three of this all and are now starting week fours work. I managed to work ahead this week. Lessening the work load for me this week as I have had such a hectic week. I have two quizzes which thankfully I managed to do great in. Work has been really slow, which I don’t really much enjoy slow days. As I am a very active and productive person and don’t enjoy hanging around much.
I have finally set myself a flow and a routine in terms of organizing my time. Yes I know its three weeks into the semester already but these things take time. I really wish I had more time as I did the week before allowing me to work ahead. Now I am pretty much caught up and I need to start on week fours work.

I think I am getting better each week in terms of my writing as I thought I did a terrible job in retelling my story in week two, however I think I did a much better job this week. I haven’t yet reached the word count so I am trying to think about what else I could write on here so that that I can hit three hundred. Two hundred and thirsty seven (ah come on I can do this). Oh I am really excited about the fall, I cannot wait for this place to start cooling down. My family in Seattle are sort of experiencing the drop in temperature already.

Oh looking at other peoples writing when commenting, it really makes me think wow! What great writers are in this class and if anyone is actually going to pursue this as a profession? Week four here I come!

Week 2: Famous last words

So we have come to the end of week two. To be honest this week I think I could have done a better job with my story telling. As I chose a classical biblical story of Adam and Eve and I sort of re-told the same story in short. Which is what I understood we had to do. However reading some of the student’s stories and how they put their own twist into it really made me think that I could have done more. Maybe I thought that I didn’t want to offend anyone in completely changing up the story of Adam and Eve. Or maybe I could have retold it but from the angels point of view or Eve or even Satan himself. Hmmm maybe that would have been an interesting stand point of the story. But all in all I’m glad it is over with. Maybe in the weeks to come I will go about choosing more exciting stories. Overall I think this class is getting more and more challenging but in a good way. I think as each week past the demand for creativity is increasing.

As for the rest of the school semester my other classes have really taken off. My math professor doesn’t know the meaning of a break as week after week we are bombarded with a quiz so at any given point can I afford to fall off the wagon. I have already had a chemistry exam which I think I did pretty well in (fingers crossed – this is true). This week at school has really been busy and I am so glad we have this long weekend. As for life, life is good. Every day we wake up is a blessing. Two down, thirteen to go.

Week 1: Famous last words

Famous Last words

My best writing this week was my favorite places blog. Not because of the information I provided but the experiences of creating my very first blog and looking back at it as a published blog. Being introduced to blogging for the first time has really given me confidence in posting future blogs for this class. I’m excited to see my progress and to looking back at it once the class is complete. I have not yet quite mastered the art of blogging but I’m sure I will see improvement and further creativity as the class progresses.

Even though it just the beginning of the semester most of my other classes are picking up quite quickly and the content is getting more and more difficult (hopefully it is not anything I won’t be able to conquer and excel in). As for this class, funny enough it is actually more interesting than I anticipated it to be. It has given me the opportunity to bring back the creativity in me and to unleash my imagination that we only think we have as a child. I realized this when I had to write a story based on a nursery rhyme (although at first it had me picking my brain). Nonetheless, I managed to come up with something. Again I believe as the semester progresses I will become more and more creative with my writing. Also looking at some of the other stories produced by former students when doing the story book favorite task really gave me an insight to the level of imagination this class requires. It just allows one to run away with their imagination and produce a dream like story something that cannot seize to exist in real life but we can bring it to life through our writing.

                                                                           Thumbs up!
